SERVICES AND INSTRUCTION
DIVINE SERVICE
Join us Sundays at 10:15 AM for the Divine Service, Christ serves His people through Word and Sacrament. Our traditional service follows the Liturgy from the Lutheran Service Book with Holy Communion served every Sunday.
BIBLE STUDY
Sundays at 9:00 AM, come and participate in Bible Study for adults and youth and Sunday School for children, providing opportunities for fellowship and deepening our understanding of God's Word.
CATECHESIS
Instruction for youth and adults in Christian teaching and Confessional Lutheran doctrine based on God's Word in the Holy Scriptures, Luther's Small Catechism, and the Lutheran Confessions.

Located on the west side of Wathena along U.S. Highway 36, Christ Lutheran Church proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament so that sinners receive the forgiveness of sins and so that others may come to faith in Him.
Christ Lutheran Church is distinctly Lutheran in theology, historic in worship, faithful in preaching God’s Word, and devoted to reflecting the light of Christ in our community. Our worship is reverent and follows the historic liturgy of the Church, connecting us to the faith once delivered to the saints.

The towns and rural families of Doniphan County including Wathena, Troy, Highland, and Elwood. We are the only LCMS congregation in the county and welcome all who seek historic Lutheran worship and sound biblical teaching.
Neighbors Across the MISSOURI River
We also serve believers and seekers from the greater St. Joseph, Missouri area, complementing the ministries of our sister LCMS congregations in that city. Our doors are open to anyone looking for reverent worship and a Christ-centered community.
Visiting Air National Guard Aircrews
Located near the Rosecrans Air National Guard Base in St. Joseph, aircrew and service members from around the world are always welcome. No matter how long your stay in the area our congregation offers a spiritual home grounded in grace, faith, and Scripture.
